Conner and Wakeman Pads
Conner and Wakeman Pads
The Conner and Wakeman Pads are two approved oil and gas locations in Adams County, Colorado, sited along East 136th Avenue between Powhaton Road and Gun Club Road.
Dunamis became the operator of these sites in October 2025 through the acquisition of assets previously owned by Providence Energy.
The Conner and Wakeman sites were originally permitted and approved in late 2018 and early 2019. Because these sites were never constructed, and because state and local regulations evolved significantly in the years that followed, new permits were required before development could proceed.
Under these updated and more stringent rules, the permitting process included formal community engagement and a thorough evaluation of potential impacts on public health, safety, the environment, and wildlife. In October 2022, a neighborhood meeting was held as part of the Adams County permitting process.
Detailed plans were submitted to the state and county authorities, including:
An alternative location analysis
A cumulative impacts evaluation
Individual noise, light, dust, and odor mitigation plans
A traffic impact analysis
The Conner and Wakeman Pads were approved at public hearings in March and April of 2025. Sixteen individual well permits were approved for each location later that year.
How We’re Protecting the Community and Environment
The permits for the Conner and Wakeman Pads include a comprehensive set of best management practices (BMPs) and mitigation measures. As the new operator, Dunamis is fully committed to meeting all conditions and commitments in the permits.
Here’s what that means in practice:
Hydrocarbon tankless design to reduce storage emissions.
Electric drilling rigs and production equipment for long-term emissions reductions.
Pipeline connection for oil and natural gas transport, eliminating the emissions associated with off-site trucking.
Continuous air monitoring at both the Conner and Wakeman Pads from initial drilling through the first full year of production.
32-foot-tall soundwall wrapping around each location.
24/7 continuous noise monitoring.
Commitment to resurfacing portions of Gun Club Road, along with other road improvements.
Pipeline connection for oil and natural gas, significantly reducing trucks on the road.
